SBI investigating Southport police officer

SOUTHPORT, NC (WWAY) – The State Bureau of Investigation is investigating a Southport police officer over allegations of excessive force.

Brunswick County District Attorney Jon David confirmed his office requested the SBI’s involvement last week.  David confirmed this investigation involves officer Nathanial Taylor, but he could not go into any other details.
