Cold case suspect makes first court appearance

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A man accused of killing a woman eleven years ago made his first appearence in front of a judge today. Elton Robbins is accused of shooting and killing Alice Holmes and dumping her body in Castle Hayne back in 1999. He faces one charge of first degree murder and one charge of first degree kidnapping.

The judge denied Robbins bond. His next court appearance is set for August 13.
