On tap at Tuesday’s Wilmington City Council meeting

Scheduled at Tuesday’s City Council Meeting:

* An ordinance that would change several regulations related to sidewalk cafes, including how much businesses are charged for using city sidewalks for outdoor dining and how much room they have – this item was continued from the Aug. 3 Council meeting;
* A resolution to adopt the city’s Comprehensive Annexation Policy and priority annexation areas – if approved, the policy would outline how future annexations are handled in an effort to provide more long-term notification of what areas would be annexed and when. Ten possible study areas for annexation have been identified. If Council approves the policy, further analysis will to be done before any specific action toward annexation could be taken. The recommended policy and study areas can be viewed on the city’s website at www.wilmingtonnc.gov.
* A resolution about how ABC permits are issued is also on the agenda, but is expected to be continued.

The full agenda can be accessed on the city’s website at wilmingtonnc.gov.
