Wilmington charter school announces August opening
WILMINGTON, NC (StarNews) — After a year of delays, a Wilmington charter school has announced it will open in August 2017.
Coastal Preparatory Academy is a planned tuition-free charter school developed by Ignite Learning Partners, a Hampstead-based company. According to a news release Monday, the school will open to students in kindergarten through sixth grade next year and will add seventh and eighth grades in subsequent years.
A location has not been announced for the school. School leaders planned to open the school in August 2016, but were unable to find a site in time.
