Rash of car break-ins, thefts plague Leland neighborhoods

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — Leland Police and the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a rash car break-ins in two neighborhoods. Leland Police Chief Tim Jayne says they happened Thursday night into Friday morning in the Stoney Creek and Snee Farm neighborhoods.

Chief Jayne says seven cars were broken into and two more were stolen. The Chief says the best way to protect yourself is to keep your car doors locked and do not leave valuables in your car.
