Gov. Perdue appoints Rosin to North Carolina Film Council
RALEIGH, NC (NEWS RELEASE) — Gov. Bev Perdue has appointed Jason Rosin of Wilmington to the North Carolina Film Council.
Rosin is a business agent at IATSE Local 491. He is a board member for the North Carolina AFL-CIO and president of the Southeastern North Carolina Central Labor Council. He received his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosk.
The North Carolina Film Council serves as a forum for film-making concerns and makes recommendations to the secretary of the Department of Commerce relating to the film industry in North Carolina. The council has 25 members, each serving a three-year term. The governor appoints all members.
