Southport-Fort Fisher Ferry goes to winter schedule

The N.C. Department of Transportation’s Ferry Division announces that the Southport-Fort Fisher route will revert to its winter schedule of departures beginning Monday, Sept. 27.

The winter schedule is as follows:

* Departing from Southport, the times are: 5:30 a.m., 7, 7:45, 8:30, 9:15, 10:45, 11:30, 1 p.m., 1:45, 2:30, 3:15, 4, 4:45 and 6:15.
* Departing from Fort Fisher, the times are 6:15 a.m., 7:45, 8:30, 9:15, 10, 11:30, 12:15 p.m., 1:45, 2:30, 3:15, 4, 4:45, 5:30 and 7.
