National audience gets look at Carolina Beach flooding

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — The flooding on Pleasure Island received national attention this morning. ABC Weather Editor Sam Champion did his weather segments for Good Morning America today while wading through flood waters at Carolina Beach.

When the show ended this morning, Champion told us he was not sure if the network would keep him in our area for a while longer or send him back to New York, where the rain is heading.
