VOTE 2010: Patterson Campaign calls for an end to dirty politics
Tabor City, NC (NEWS RELEASE) – On October, 7th Tristan Patterson called on all candidates running in Columbus county to demand that their supporters not touch, destroy or block other candidates signs, including their opponents. Tristan took it a step further saying “I hope in 2010 with a full list of wonderful candidates, that we are better than this. Not only should we all band together to stop sign destruction and removal, but I hope all candidates will guarantee no intimidation of other candidates supporters and volunteers, of any kind!”
This cry for fairness comes after a Patterson volunteer had his home broken into (October 4th) and another volunteer returned from work with Tristan’s opponents sign in his yard.(October 6th)
“While we hope these ridiculous and shameful acts are random, there have been some other issues with volunteers that have been brought to our attention as well but, we have been asked not to discuss them for fear of retaliation.” Patterson said early Thursday morning.
Patterson stated he had been warned about personal attacks that would be waged against him and his volunteers before starting his campaign. Tristan asks his supporters to stay strong and to bring any other issues to his and the sheriff or their local police departments attention!
“I believe my opponent is a good man and will stand with me in warning supporters that we will not stand for any illegal, unethical or questionable campaign activities”
Tristan Patterson is a resident of Columbus County, and active member of the NRA, ACLJ, and Tabor City Civitans.
