Police: Stolen cash registers found in yard


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are investigating after stolen registers were found in a yard off Wrightsville Avenue.

Police say a man broke into Liberty Cleaners in the 100 block of Oleander Drive around 7:21 a.m. Wednesday morning. Surveillance video show he used a rock to break through the glass and then took two registers full of cash.

The registers with receipts were later found in a yard in the 5000 block of Wrightsville Avenue.

The suspect is described as a black male between 6’1″ and 6’3″, wearing a grey hoodie cinched around his face and blue jeans.
