End of early voting; start of long lines

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Election Day is Tuesday…it’s your last chance to cast your vote because early voting is now over. And while doors closed at 1:00pm, people waited in line for hours after. At the Cape Fear Museum, the line snaked back and forth across the lobby. Diana Hill waited in the line because she won’t be able to on Tuesday.

“It dawned on me that I wouldn’t be able to vote if I were driving people to the polls, so I thought I better hurry down here, and I thought a 20-minute wait was long earlier in the week, but now they’re saying two and a half hours, so I’m just going to have to pay for my putting things off, my procrastination.”
