NHSO Vice and Narcotics Detectives make heroin bust

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (NEWS RELEASE) – On Monday November 15, New Hanover County Vice and Narcotics Detectives arrested three subjects and charged them with multiple narcotics violations, including two counts each for trafficking in heroin. Narcotics Detectives executed a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Blazer at the Hardees located at 429 S. College Rd after conducting surveillance on the vehicle. Inside the vehicle, detectives located 35 bags of heroin, eight small bags of cocaine packaged for sale, and 3 small bags of marijuana packaged for sale.

Detectives continued their investigation which led them back to 457 Racine Dr, apt 310, which is the residence of De’von McRavion. Sheriff’s detectives located 11 grams of raw heroin, 16 grams of cocaine, and 25 additional bags of heroin. The search continued and detectives located a box of blue glassine bags, a digital scale, and razor blades which are used in the process of packaging and sale of narcotics.

The street value of the heroin is over $18,000.00 and the cocaine is $2300.00

According to Captain David Ciamillo, this was a significant arrest. “The eleven grams of raw heroin seized would have easily produced over 600 bags of heroin. That is 600 bags not hitting our streets or causing harm to anyone”.
