Supply woman shot, killed; fiancé questioned

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (BCSO) — On December 20, 2010, at 7:30 a.m. Brunswick County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 1650 Cattail Way in Supply regarding a reported shooting at the residence. Upon arrival deputies discovered Tammy Lamonds, white female, 42 years of age, deceased.

Investigators were called to the scene where interviews were conducted and crime scene search was initiated. Lamonds’s fiancé, Thomas Wesco Lovett, was transported to the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office for further questioning.

The Brunswick County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and consulted regarding this investigation and there are no charges filed at this time pending further investigation.

An autopsy is tentatively scheduled for Lamonds tomorrow at an undetermined time. The investigation is ongoing and more information should be available at a later date.
