Laney advances to finals of the Leon Brogden Holiday Tournament

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Viking freshman Trevor Singleton is starting to emerge as a go-to player for Hoggard. He scored 13 Tuesday night. Senior Stilman White scored 28 for Hoggard, but 4 Laney Buccaneers scored double figures in a back and forth contest between Laney and Hoggard in the semi-finals of the Leon Brogden Holiday Tournament. Laney beat Hoggard 65-60.

Tuesday’s second semi-final lacked the drama that the first semi-final had. It didn’t help that New Hanover started off slow and near rebounded from the slow start. Raleigh Millbrook beat New Hanover 73-53.

Consolation scores:

South View 56
Ashley 50

Bunn 40
Sewickley 33
