Sharpless found guilty of murder

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington man is guilty of murder. A New Hanover County jury also found Andre Sharpless guilty of first degree burglary and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.

Sharpless shot and killed Tarell Phillips in November 2009.

A judge sentenced Sharpless to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
