Man hangs himself in Kings Grant Park

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office says a man hanged himself this afternoon from a tree in in Kings Grant Park.

He was dead when emergency crews arrived.

We take suicide stories on a case-by-case basis and usually don’t report them unless something unusual happens. Because this suicide happened in a public park, we decided we would share the information with our viewers/users, but we will not release his name.
