Navassa mayor charged with DWI

Brunswick County, NC (WWAY) — Navassa Mayor Eulis Willis is facing a driving while impaired charge after being stopped by Navassa police Sunday morning, according to North Carolina Highway Patrol.

Highway patrol was called in to a avoid a possible conflict of interest. WWAY has reached out to Mayor Willis by phone but we have not heard back.
