Two dead in Pender crash
PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Two people were killed when a passenger car pulled out in front of an 18-wheeler this morning in Pender County. It happened around 9 a.m. on US 421 north of Englishtown Road, according to Tpr. R.D. Hendrickson of the North Carolina Highway Patrol.
Investigators say a 53-year-old man and a 58-year-old man were killed when a tractor trailer hit their Dodge Neon as the car pulled out of a private driveway.
The Highway Patrol says no charges will be filed.
The names of the victims have not been released as family is notified.
