Marine charged with crash that knocked out power

ONSLOW COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Jacksonville Marine is in jail charged in a drunk driving crash that left people in the dark.

Highway Patrol charged Sean Henry Brant with DWI. Investigators say around 3:30 a.m. Brant hit a power pole on Gum Branch Road at Timothy Road in Onslow County. The crash knocked out power in the area.

The pole was repaired, power turned back on and the road was reopened more than six hours after the crash.
