Brunswick County Board of Education approves school calendar

BRUNSWICK CO., NC (WWAY) — The Brunswick County Board of Education approved a 2012-2013 school calendar.

The board voted to approve a draft that conforms to all requirements of state calender law. Board members also approved another draft that would allow the system to convert five additional instructional days.

School officials say both drafts are in line with all requirements of state calendar law. The major difference between the two calendars is the availability of make-up days due to inclement weather.
