Fort-Bragg-based soldier killed in Afghanistan
FORT BRAGG, N.C. (AP) – The Department of Defense says a soldier based at Fort Bragg has died in Afghanistan.
Military officials said Monday that 20-year-old Pfc. Christian R. Sannicolas of Anaheim, Calif., died April 28 in Kandahar province of injuries received when his vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device.
Sannicolas was assigned to 1st Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division.
