Wilmington City Council discusses next year’s budget

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington City Council is ironing out next year’s budget. Council members took a look back at the last fiscal year, while planning for the 2012-2013 budget this morning.

Members discussed everything from sales tax to storm water and solid waste revenue. One topic that many residents have questions about did not come up: the proposed ballpark.

A budget is being drafted now and will be presented to City Council at its May 15 meeting.
