Advanced & Emerging Technologies Center at CFCC almost complete
CASTLE HAYNE, N.C (WWAY) — Cape Fear Community College will open doors to its new Advanced and Emerging Technologies Center this fall. It has been under construction for over a year, and is nearly finished.
It features a rooftop simulation lab, 130-seat lecture halls, a new veterinary medical technology program and a flexible lab space for training with commercial partners.
Cape Fear Community College staff believe this will help give students the real-world experience they need.
“The whole purpose of all of our buildings and everything we do out here is to give our students the best education possible, ” David Conklin Jr, CFCC Chair of Public Service Department, said.
The school hopes the incorporation of better technology will offer more training for the students.
The total project is estimated to cost about $33 million dollars.
