Wilmington man who fell out of truck identified as Arturo Morales

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) – Wilmington police have identified the man killed when he fell out of a truck on Saturday.

Police say Arturo Morales, 36, died when he fell out of the bed of a pickup truck and his his head on the asphalt. Police believe Morales had been riding an office chair in the back of the truck.

It happened Saturday at the intersection of Rutledge Drive and Graham Street.

Police have charged Gregorio Mendoza, 34.

He’s charged with driving while intoxicated, felony death by motor vehicle, driving with a suspended license and careless and reckless driving.
