Supply man charged with multiple child sex crimes

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Brunswick County man is accused of multiple child sex crimes dating back to 2015.

The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office arrested John Ward, 48, yesterday.  He’s accused of sexually assaulting a 9-year-old girl.

He’s charged with two counts of first degree sexual offense, three counts of indecent liberties with a child, and first degree forcible rape.

The alleged crimes happened between May and August of 2015 and April and August of 2016,

Ward is in jail under a $2 million bond.
