4 transported to hospital following Shallotte car crash

SHALLOTTE, NC (WWAY) — A spokesperson for the NC Highway Patrol said 4 people have been transported to the hospital following a crash this afternoon in Shallotte.

The call came in at 3:34 p.m. on Monday.

The spokesperson said the crash happened when a Lincoln Town Car failed to yield when making a left turn from Naber Dr. onto US 17 Business.

He said a Ford Expedition was traveling west on US 17 Business towards US 17.

3 people from the Lincoln Town Car and 1 person from the Ford Expedition were transported to Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
