Wilmington man accused of trying to ram into detectives after heroin deal
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A 29-year-old Wilmington man faces several drug and assault charges.
The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office arrested Aaron Brockington yesterday.
According to warrants, Brockington is accused of selling heroin to an undercover agent.
The Sheriff’s Office says after the deal, they tried to pull Brockington over near Wrightsville Avenue but he wouldn’t stop. Once Brockington got to Randall Parkway they pitted him, but Brockington tried to drive way. That’s when three detectives pulled up. The Sheriff’s Office says Brockington then tried to ram into them.
Brockington is charged with three counts of assault on emergency personnel, selling or delivering heroin, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver heroin, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling for a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and conspiracy to sell heroin.
He is in jail under $1,000,000 bond.
