Delco man charged with murder of missing woman

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Columbus County Sheriff’s announced Monday night that Lance Arrington Sandlin IV, 47, of Delco, was arrested and charged with the murder of Shanna Denise Perry, 38, also of Delco.

CCSO said Lance is currently being held without bond at the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center.

The investigation into Shanna Perry’s disappearance began in May 2024.

Despite extensive searches and hundreds of man-hours dedicated to finding Shanna, the Columbus County Sherriff’s Office said she remains missing.

The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office has been assisted by the NC State Bureau of Investigation throughout the investigation and said they will continue searching for Shanna.

Authorities believe that multiple individuals may have been involved in Shanna Perry’s disappearance.

Additional arrests are possible as the investigation progresses.
