Jacksonville man charged in Pender County shooting
PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A shooting in Pender County led to drugs and weapons charges.
The Pender County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a disturbance with weapons in the 100 block of Wooten Road in the Maple Hill Community. It happened around 2:30 p.m. yesterday.
Deputies found shell casings at the scene.
They arrested Michael Jawan Holmes, 23, of Jacksonville.
He is charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling, possession of schedule VI controlled substance, possession of schedule VI paraphernalia, possession of schedule II controlled substance, possession of schedule II paraphernalia, possession of schedule IV controlled substance, possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine, felony possession of cocaine, manufacturing cocaine and paraphernalia.
No one was hurt in the shooting.
Holmes is in jail under a $360,000 bond.
