Short film on Pender County hot dog restaurant headed to Raleigh

ROCKY POINT, NC (WWAY) — A short film documenting the extraordinary storyline of a hot dog restaurant in Rocky Point is headed to the Longleaf Film Festival.
Filmmaker Mike Raab says ‘Relish Our Dogs’ is an Official Selection for Longleaf Film Festival 2017.   The festival is May 12-13 at the North Carolina Museum of History in Raleigh.

The short documentary covers the history of the beloved hot dog restaurant and how their secret relish has drawn customers like Andy Griffith, Ben Affleck, and Arnold Schwarzenegger to name a few.   We’ve also featured Mike Raab’s work on a church in St. Helena in a special documentary called “The Disappearing Church”.

This is the fourth screening this year for “Relish Our Dogs,” the quirky documentary about Paul’s Place. It was a selection for the Indigo Moon Film Festival (Fayetteville) and Praxis Film Festival (Goldsboro) and will be screened this week at the Myrtle Beach International Film Festival being held April 19th to 22nd.
