National Trails Day Photo Challenge is underway

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Break out the camera and snap some of the off-path beauty in the Port City. National Trails Day is a mission to connect people to trails. This year it is on  Saturday, June 3, 2017 and in celebration of National Trails Day, the City of Wilmington is hosting the ‘National Trails Day Photo Challenge’.  Organizers says every trail beckons adventure and has a story to share with any person willing to discover it and want you to share your stories in photos.

Here’s how it works:
Post a photo via Instagram, Twitter or Facebook featuring one of the trails in Wilmington utilizing the hashtag #ilmtrailsday2017

Deadline for Submissions:  Sunday, June 4th

Contest Rules:
– All photos must contain the hashtag  #ilmtrailsday2017 to be considered
– Photos must be posted no later than Sunday, June 4th
– Top 3 photographs will be selected by Parks and Recreation staff and announced on Monday, June 5th
– All decisions will be final and all photos posted with the hashtag #ilmtrailsday2017 will become public

Prizes will be awarded to the top three photos.
1st – $150.00 Great Outdoor Provision Company gift card
2nd – $100 Dicks Sporting Goods gift card
3rd – $50 Two Wheeler Dealer gift card
