NHRMC receives Women’s Choice Award

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) —  New Hanover Regional Medical Center has been named a recipient of the Women’s Choice Award as one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Patient Experience, according to a news release.

The award is determined by Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems data along with research about women’s healthcare preferences.

“We are proud of our commitment to keeping patients at the center of everything we do. This award highlights the dedication of our physicians, nurses, staff and volunteers in ensuring our patients receive exceptional care throughout their treatment,” said NHRMC President and CEO John Gizdic.

America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Patient Experience is a national list focused on female patient satisfaction and recommendation scores. Scores are determined by measures of effective communication with nurses and doctors, responsiveness, pain management, explanations of medications, cleanliness and patient recommendation ratings.
