Man arrested after running from police
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A man is arrested after running from officers Tuesday night.
It happened around 9:45 p.m. on North 30th Street in Wilmington.
Wilmington Police say when officers approached their suspect, 22-year-old Ronald Brunson, he ran from them.
After a brief foot chase, officers say Brunson ran into a home at 1001 N. 30th Street. Investigations say he does not live there.
Hiding in the attic, Wilmington Police where able to talk him into turning himself over.
Brunson is charged with obstructing public officers, failure to appear and trespassing.
While on the scene, officers served him with seven other heroin related charges.
He is currently being held in the New Hanover County Jail without bond.
