WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — In 2010, sun kissed newly-weds Jaime and Carol Hunter invented Saltwash in their small workshop.

Inspired by the ocean and sun, the duo sought to recreate authentic, time-worn painted furniture that can be found in old seaside cottages.

After years they developed Saltwash with a goal to make it easy for anyone to get the authentic layered sun and salt air kissed look.

“If you go to Wrightsville Beach and walk into one of those 100 year old cottages you see those layers and layers of paint,” Carol says, “and that’s the look Saltwash gives you.”

For her husband Jaime, “it’s just super versatile and it’s fun!”

Saltwash is a powder you mix with any paint and apply to almost anything.  In just a few steps you get an affordable genuine vintage look.
