Lake Waccamaw boil water advisory lifted

LAKE WACCAMAW, NC (WWAY) — Residents in Lake Waccamaw no longer need to boil water for human consumption.

According to a release from the town, laboratory analysis of water samples collected Thursday from the Lake Waccamaw Water System indicted that boiling water is not necessary. The affected location was from 688 Waccamaw Shores Rd. continuing to the dam at the end of the road.

The System Pressure Advisory was announced Thursday due to a leaking water main on Waccamaw Shores Rd.
