Reduced price Freeman Park annual permits go on sale Friday

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Annual permits to drive out on Freeman Park in Carolina Beach will go on sale Friday.

The cost for an annual permit is $150, but you can get the early bird rate of $75 if you buy them between December 1 through December 15.

The permits can be bought at Carolina Beach Town Hall Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

• Town of Carolina Beach Parking Office 1204 N. Lake Park Blvd. Suite D
  Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 a.m. -2:00 p.m.
• Island True Value Tackle & Hardware 801 N Lake Park Blvd.
  Hours: Sunday-Thursday, 6:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m.,  Friday-Saturday, 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
• The Kupboard Grocery, 901 Carolina Beach Ave. N
  Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Saturday-Sunday, 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

You can also buy them online. They will arrive in the mail within 10 business days. The Town of Carolina Beach says that a paper receipt from an online purchase is not valid at the gate and will not grant entry into Freeman Park. If you would like to pick up your annual permit in person and not receive it in the mail, you must call the Town of Carolina Beach Parking Office at (910) 458-4614 at the time of purchase to make arrangements.
