NHSO searching for suspect linked to two recent armed robberies
NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The man who robbed the Han-Dee Hugo’s on Castle Hayne Road around 12:30 a.m. is believed to be the same person who robbed another gas station in the area.
New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office Spokesman Lt. Jerry Brewer says the most recent armed robbery happened at Castle Hayne Rd. and Kerr Ave. The man was wearing the same hoodie worn during the armed robbery over the weekend at the Circle K at Castle Hayne Rd. and Oakley Rd.
Lt. Brewer said the suspect also covered his arm with his sleeve, implying he had a gun, demanded cash “or he would shoot” and then ran out of the gas station. That’s the same way the Circle K was robbed, Brewer said.
The suspect had on the hoodie drawn tightly around his face, jeans, is around 5’6″, and is in his late 30s early 40s. If you know anything, call the sheriff’s office.
