New Hanover plan would move 685 high schoolers

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (StarNews) — New Hanover County Schools leaders have approved a plan to redistrict an estimated 685 high school students next year.

The Board of Education voted Tuesday night to put a high school redistricting plan into effect for the 2018-19 school year. The plan would move 9 percent of district high schoolers, a number that could shrink if rising seniors take the “senior privilege” option to stay at their current schools.
