Men accused of using counterfeit cash at Wilmington restaurant

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police say these men paid for their meal at Winnie’s Tavern on Burnett Boulevard with a counterfeit $100 bill.

According to the police report, three men were involved. It happened on December 31 around 1:30 p.m.

As of 1:50 p.m. Thursday, Wilmington Police said the men have been identified.
