Brunswick Co. Schools announce rest of make-up days due to winter weather

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Brunswick County School Board met Tuesday evening to discuss a variety of topics, including when to make up days lost during last month’s winter weather.

County schools missed four days last month after frigid weather swept through the Cape Fear leaving ice on the roads for days.

The schools have already made up one day.

February 19 was parent conference day, which students had off, but is now a school day. March 9 was early release and is now a full school day.

Teachers have three required work days added to the end of the year June 13-15 and an optional work day June 18.
