Lower attendance causes parts of Cape Fear Academy to close Friday
NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — In a letter sent to parents Thursday from Cape Fear Academy the headmaster says the percentage of students out on a daily basis in the lower school has been between 10-15 percent and for some grades it’s been even higher.
The school in the letter says they have decided to close school Friday for lower school students. The letter did not specify the cause of the reduced attendance.
It was originally scheduled as a faculty work day.
Middle and upper school will have classes as usual.
