Fiction to Fashion: Teens design outfits out of old books, CDs

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Project Runway has got nothing on this!

This week some beyond talented young people are stitching up some amazing designs using discarded library books, cassette tapes, and even CDs.

Randy Aldridge spoke with Scooter Hayes, youth services librarian at the New Hanover County Library, and Emma Claire Lisk, a budding designer, for an preview of the event.

It’s happening Thursday at Expo 2016 on 216 N. Front Street in Wilmington at 7 p.m.
