Heide Trask High School student charged after threatening note found
PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Two teens charged in one day.
Just hours after an Ashley High School student was accused of making a threat against his school, a high school student in Pender County now faces the same charge.
According to a news release from the Pender County Sheriff’s Office, a 15-year-old student at Heide Trask High School was arrested today after a handwritten note was found. The note depicted a drawing of a school shooting.
The note was turned in to school administration around 10:30 a.m. on Monday morning.
The student is charged with making a false report of mass violence on education property.
