Wilmington Police investigating shooting near downtown

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police Department are investigating a shooting that happened near downtown Wilmington Monday evening.

According to a tweet sent out by WPD, they’re conducting an investigation in the area of Meares Street.

They have confirmed at least two people were hurt in the shooting.
