New office park in development, Wilmington Health will be a tenant

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A new office park is in development in the Port City. The Wilmington Chamber of Commerce held a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday morning to celebrate the Midtown Park at Barclay.

The new office park neighbors The Pointe at Barclay, a complex that includes a movie theater, restaurants, and retailers.

Cameron Management is the developer of Midtown Park. It will eventually consist of four buildings.

Wilmington Health is slated to be one of the tenants. Their COO, Chris Bunch, says the new space should be more convenient for their patients who live in this growing part of the Port City.

“This gives us the ability to have a medical building, medical service building where consumers are: retail, movie theater, apartment, where people live, work, and play,” Bunch said. “We’re very excited to be on this side of town in a development of this nature.”

Bunch said he expected the building that will house Wilmington Health to be completed by next spring.
