Town presents proposed Wrightsville Beach park plans

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — The Town of Wrightsville Beach will hold a meeting Monday to present their proposal for a new park near Johnnie Mercer’s Pier.

The town is applying for a series of grants worth more than $1,000,000 to construct the new park called “East Salisbury Ocean Access Park”.

Wrightsville Beach Town Manager Tim Owens says the park will feature a beach playground area, climbing structures, swings, a raised boardwalk and more.

Anyone interested is encouraged to attend Monday’s meeting at 5:30 p.m. in the town hall council chambers.
