Cape Fear Jetport expanding, set to add new terminal


BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC OAK OAK ISLAND, NC (WWAY) — The Cape Fear Jetport is taking off, literally.

To meet the demands of more customers and pilots it is expanding operations.

The airport will add a new terminal to the grounds.

The bottom floor is more than 5,000 feet and the top floor is 200 feet.

Airport Director Howie Franklin says it will be a multi-use facility for airport, law enforcement and other emergencies.

According to the FAA, this airport is the fourth busiest in North Carolina.
