SEA CREATURES! Surf City Elementary, Middle announce mascots
PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Go sharks! Go sea turtles! The newest schools in Pender County now have some under the sea themed mascots.
According to Pender County Schools, Surf City Elementary will be home of the Sea Turtles, and Surf City Middle are the Sharks.
Last fall, the school system wanted to hear your thoughts on what the mascot should be for both schools.
The district also released the list of staff at the schools Wednesday.
“We are excited to announce the staffs of Surf City Elementary School and Surf City Middle School,” said Dr. Steven Hill, superintendent of Pender County Schools. “We are looking forward to our district expanding with the addition of these two new schools in 2018-19.”
