ARRESTED: Wilmington man accused of stabbing ex-girlfriend
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The man accused of using a fake Facebook account to lure his ex-girlfriend to McRae Street and then stab her multiple times is now behind bars.
According to jail records, Rolandy Beatty, 25, of Wilmington, was arrested around 3:00 p.m.
On Tuesday night, Wilmington Police say Beatty lured his ex-girlfriend to the 900 block of McRae Street around 6:30 p.m.
When she saw Beatty waiting for her, he then allegedly stabbed her repeatedly, took her phone, and then left.
The victim went to New Hanover Regional Medical Center in serious condition.
Beatty is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill causing serious injuries.
