Novant Pediatrics improves 24/7 on-demand video visits

BOLIVIA, NC (WWAY) — Novant Health Pediatrics offers 24/7, on-demand video visits for it’s patients and is now offering a tool to protect children even more.

With fears over coronavirus continuing, parents are often faced with whether or not to take their children to the doctor for minor illnesses, scrapes and bruises.  Doctors at Novant Health routinely administer advice and diagnoses via video visits.  Now they have a tool to take those visits to the next level.

Dr. Kaylan Edwards says the TytoHome medical examine kit “allows you to collect health information and send it directly to a provider from your smartphone or tablet.  Think of it as an enhancement to a virtual video visit.”

The kit helps diagnose and treat things like ear infections, fever, pink eye, asthma, and even common skin conditions like diaper rash.
